Kneibert Clinic North Relocates to Bluff
Radiology Building
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. - Kneibert Clinic North moved from its
Hillsdale Plaza location down
Westwood
Boulevard
to inside the Bluff Radiology Group building at 2588 North
Westwood Boulevard.
The clinic is staffed by Burton Cox, D.O.; Devona Gibbs,
Family Nurse Practitioner; Terri Finertie, office manager;
nurse Amy
Smith; and receptionist Susy Selvidge.
Cox is the attending physician for Bluff Radiology Group
(BRG) which has the most advanced MRI and Cat Scan equipment
in the
area. BRG is available to any local physician.
Cox said, "Kneibert Clinic and Bluff Radiology asked me
in August if I would like to move over here and be their resident
doctor and cover their procedures here and have my practice
here at the same time.
"
I said I would be there tomorrow. Considering right at my elbow
are the area's best MRI and Cat Scan equipment with the Cape
Radiology Group radiologists able to give me almost instant
reports, I saw that as a definite advantage for my patients."
Cox said Bluff Radiology had also installed new X-ray equipment.
Devona Gibbs, FNP, moved her practice to Kneibert Clinic
North from Dr. D.L. Davis's office in November.
"
Family practice and wounds take up most of my day," Gibbs
said. "I love family practice. Most wounds I treat are
chronic wounds, diabetic wounds, foot ulcers and leg ulcers.
"
I make house calls, go to nursing homes and the hospital to
treat wounds as well as do them here."
Gibbs has been an FNP since 1995 and a registered nurse
since 1974.
In 1991 she attended a two-month course at Emory University
Clinic in Atlanta, Ga. where she was trained and certified
as a wound, ostomy and continence nurse.
Her collaborating physicians are Dr. Kirby Turner and Dr.
Michael Stevenson at Kneibert Clinic's main location on Lester
Street.
"
The patient rooms are a lot bigger. The lobby's a lot bigger.
It's easier access for our patients because of the parking
lot," Finertie said of the new location. "We take
walk-ins. We're kind of an urgent care type of setting during
the day. Walk-ins are generally seen within a half hour. Those
with appointments are usually seen within 15 minutes of their
appointment time.
"
We take everything from chronic illness such as diabetes and
high blood pressure to sore throats, coughs and colds. Both
Devona and Dr. Cox do a lot of minor office surgeries such
as mole removals."
Kneibert Clinic North is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through
Friday. Cox is available 8 to 12 and 1 to 5 Monday through
Thursday and from 8 to noon on Friday. For an appointment
call the clinic at 573-785-5909.
